A/C Technician

  • To keep all air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment in good state of maintenance and repair.
  • To check frequently all major air-handling units for correct function and performance, cleanliness of filters, drive belt tension, and lubrication of bearings.
  • To perform regular preventive maintenance of all air handling units and refrigeration equipment in accordance with the schedule.
  • To check daily temperatures of all refrigerated stores and inspect the respective condensing units for proper function.
  • To carry out repairs to air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment as and when necessary.
  • To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
  • To observe cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work.
  • To ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniform, particularly when working in guest areas.
  • To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub sections of the Engineering Department.
  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.
  • To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
  • To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
  • To read and understand the hotel’s Ambassador Handbook and to adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • To comply with local legislation as required.
  • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
