Admission Systems Officer

  1. Plan, organize and lead the Banner system.
  2. Manage admission-related projects and integrations with other relevant systems.
  3. Implement new systems like SMS/Emailing system, Business Integration tools.
  4. Design, implement and automate information management procedures and customize solutions.
  5. Find creative solutions to improve the used admission system.
  6. Apply the electronic archiving and supervise the process.
  7. Compile, analyze and provide valid conclusions from information system data.
  8. Provide technical support and train staff on the proper use of information systems and data quality practices.
  9. Add, update and audit online admission system setups by defining the admission term, offered program, admission rules, program ceilings, distribution of the application between employees and preparing the system to receive the new Bachelor degree applications.
  10. Prepare the online application forms for Diploma, Postgraduates (Master, Doctorate), Bridging programs and transferred students.
  11. Prepare all the lists, statistics and reports concerning the admission and graduation operations.
  12. Prepare all the audit reports at the end of each admission periods.
  13. Manage the hold process for students with Missing Documents and notify them via email and SMS.
  14. Send SMS notifications to the expected to graduate students.
  15. Post the admission announcements on the website and students’ blackboard.
  16. Update MyUDC page for the expected to graduate students.
  17. Update and develop the Admission page on the University’s Website.
  18. Respond to the admission department emails and communicate through Social Media.
  19. Update and issue new forms and reports to be used in the operations of accepting new studentsas needed during the admission period.
  20. Implementing the various processes of admission(Admission Postponement, Readmit, Admission Cancelation … etc.).
  21. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  22. Prepare the annual report of all admissions and graduation processes, inventory, and processing of the annual plan.
  23. Support the officers, departments, colleges and scholarship section by generating the required admission statistics and reports using toad application.
  24. Supervise and train the staff on the Banner system.
  25.        Accept any additional tasks assigned by the    director.
Preferred Qualification & Experience
  • Minimum education of Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering (priority for UAE locals).
  • Additional education or training in Management Information Systems or Business Administration will be high Value.
  • Minimum 3 years of directly related work experience in administration.
  • Must be well-experienced in Banner (student Modules).
  • Knowledge in SQL and Oracle.
  • Ability to learn new programing languages such as JAVA and Groovy, which is required in Banner XE update.
