Opportunity Responsibilities

The position of Assistant Cost Manager in the Contracts Department is responsible for providing support to the Managers in the execution of their departmental duties.

Main responsibilities for this role include:
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value across all departments;
  • Preparation of departmental valuations and claims, ensuring that they are supported by relevant records;
  • Identify, analyse and respond to contractual and commercial risks;
  • Observe and follow the requisite processes as set forth in the department’s Governance Manual and feedback for its continuous improvement as required.
Skills

5+ years minimum experience with at least 2 years in a similar role as well as:

  • University degree qualified in a related field;
  • Relevant experience, including all aspects of pre and post contract duties;
  • Training for membership or accreditation from RICS (preferred);
  • Based upon a general knowledge of law and specialist knowledge of the law of contract.
Experience in contract administration.
