Assistant Director of Sales (Bluewaters Resorts)

We are seeking Assistant Director of Sales for the Bluewaters Resorts at the upcoming vibrant destination and home of Ain Dubai.

Bluewaters is a man-made mixed use island located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence. Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel, forms the unique centerpiece of this development that is poised to become one of the world’s largest tourism hotspots.

The Assistant Director of Sales is to lead and manage sales staff and reservation to ensure maximum revenue, promotional coverage and marketing opportunities are achieved. He / She should be an ambassador for the company and the hotel.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following;

Providing leadership and strategic planning to all business development departments in support of our service culture, maximize operations and guest satisfaction.

Leading on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives.

High degree of commercial awareness and be able to understand links between sales and profit with excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Overseeing and ensuring the updates of rates, promotions on hotel website, OTA's (Online travel agents), GDS etc. without any rate parity.

Working with leadership team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market segmentation.

Following and tracking company cross-sell procedures.

Evaluating and driving the hotel’s participation in the various sales channels, Market Sales, Event Booking Centres, electronic lead channels, etc.

Monitoring all day to day activities of direct reports.

Executing and supporting the operational aspects of business booked (, generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)

The ideal candidate must be a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. University Degree/Diploma in hotel management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel with clear track record of sales. At least 10 to 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury and international experience, ideally including experience in leisure and tourism destination locations. 3 to 5 years of experience as Assistant Director of Sales/Senior Sales Manager in a large hotel.
