Automotive Technical Trainer - Automotive Training Academy
To play an active part in a team of dedicated Technical Trainers in successfully providing engaging Training programmes as required by Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, underpinned by the respective Brand standards.
The role will cover training needs analysis with subsequent development and implementation of technical training programmes utilizing a blended learning approach, including impact measurement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design, develop and deliver engaging automotive technical training based on the 70:20:10 principles to automotive technicians in order to meet the business and brand technical training requirements.
- Participate in Brand Skills Contest by playing an active part in the design, development and implementation of the assessments leading up to and including the National Skills Contest Finals.
- As required, on the job coaching support for associates post-course to ensure successful implementation of knowledge and skills transfer to enhance business performance.
- Ensure compliance with brand Principals and adherence to all distributor policies related to training.
- Support new model launch activities and external company training by way of material development with the support of the technical training team.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training delivered to ensure learning and development objectives of the business and brand are met.
- Carry out related project work as required to undertake all tasks and responsibilities specified in the standard operating procedures and health, safety and environment regulations.
- Complete assessment center activity to identify new recruits and current network competence.
- Automotive industry experience, experience with the Toyota and Lexus brands will be an advantage.
- Qualification in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- Problem solving and decision making skills, along with good communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate modern vehicle diagnostic, repair methods and proficient to diagnostic master technician level.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to plan and organize own caseload.
- Possess a recognized training or adult learning qualification.
- Passionate about delivering high quality training with good presentation and facilitation skills.
