CAD Designer

We are looking for a super-smart, super-motivated CAD Designer to assist the Design Manager in the completion and implementation of design projects in accordance with agreed parameters of quality standards, costs and timeliness.

Functional Responsibilities

• To provide designs and check to ensure they are accurate and in line with defined requirements.

• To provide support to the Design Manager in achieving the completion of design projects to time and budget.

• To provide support in agreeing the project brief, establishing timelines, delegating tasks and monitor progress of the same.

• To assist the Design Manager in the proper utilization of design resources.

• To undertake Value Engineering reviews and make recommendations for improvement during the various design stages and advise Design Manager on any matters arising.

• Coordinate / Liaise with Consultants, Client , Landlords etc on all client related changes, comments, and ensure approvals and consequent incorporation in the design.

• Ensure design compliance is line with best practices, BU requirements and Company policies and procedures.

• Specific to Senior roles:

• Monitor the performance of their team members to ensure the design correctness and completeness as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements

• To check contractors workshop drawings to ensure alignment with the designer‘s intent.

• To guide junior staff in design processes and technical matters.

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture/ Interior Design

• Alternatively an equivalent technical qualification relevant to retail deign /construction

Experience

• 2 to 4 years relevant experience

Functional Skills

• Well versed with Auto CAD 2004 or later version

• Knowledge of Photoshop and relevant 3D computer skills
