Construction Manager
MWH, now part of Stantec, is currently seeking a Construction Manager to support the Project Director and take accountability for providing construction management direction with primary responsibility to the client for on-site delivery of time, cost and quality performance of a large scale (minimum 10m diameter) tunnel construction project in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assists Project Managers in establishing program/project construction management objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Company policy.
2. Initiates and maintains liaison with client contacts to facilitate program activities.
3. Manages financial aspects of contracts to protect Company's interests and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
4. Works collaboratively with construction General Contractors to generate successful construction methodologies, systems, procedures that lead to optimal outcomes in time, cost and quality of built work.
5. Supervises the work of Site Employees including Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors etc.
6. Represents the Company in project meetings.
7. Responsible for preparing weekly construction progress reports.
8. Consistently and successfully deploys solutions for key accounts as assigned.
9. Consistently adheres to and enforces internal Company processes and policies such as business and contracting rules.
10. Successfully manages multiple large complex projects simultaneously.
11. Leads complex teams through challenging project assignments and complex client environments.
12. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
13. Works in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.

The candidate must meet the criteria set out by the client, which is as follows:
- BSc Civil Engineering
- 15-20 years experience, minimum of 5 years in the GCC.
- Tunneling for large diameters experience is a MUST.
- Chartership or other engineering accreditation is required.
