Consulting - Government - Senior Manager - Innovation

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Government and Public Sector Business Unit and its Innovation & Entrepreneurship Consulting team, where you will play a key role in developing and delivering strategy based projects, to clients in the Government and Public Sector in the Middle East. We focus on helping solve client problems by offering both strategic and operational expertise. You will be exposed to the PwC proprietary methodologies and tools built from experiences of numerous prior engagements and leading practices, to enable you to efficiently and effectively deliver to our clients in a timely and reliable manner.

Responsibilities:

• Part of the management consulting team, focused on Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the public sector, specialised in innovation strategy formulation, Innovation Transformation of Public sector entities, innovative funds and financing mechanisms, operating model and organizational design.
• Work closely with the existing team to incubate new services, products and businesses and adopt advanced technologies.
• Engage with the governmental clients and start-up communities aiming at bringing new ideas to our clients, as well as present innovation proposals in various meetings.
• Continuously expand own knowledge of the Middle East business environment through running economic assessment and skill development.
• Work with colleagues in all Middle Eastern offices on client work and internal initiatives as well as with international teams where appropriate.
• Keep up to date with current trends from the region and from across the world. Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with the engagement team members; stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client’s business; and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.
• Facilitate and execute projects, and bring relationships to the firm to quickly capitalize on opportunities and solve problems.
• Communicate ideas and plans creatively using data, visuals and concepts, and the familiar language of business.
• Understand the business impact of emerging concepts in technology, methodologies, data analysis and trends.
• Support the implementation of key Innovation programs in a fast changing environment and act as an internal consultant to staff and partners to refine concepts brought to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship practice.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major is required.
• Preferable qualifications: Certification in Innovation and Management Consulting, Change Management or Design Thinking is a plus.
• Years of Experience: 8-12 years of experience. of which extensive experience in Innovation within the Government and Public Sector
• Minimum 4 years of experience within a professional services environment.
• Previous experience within the Middle East is a plus.
• Previous experience and a strong understanding of business model development, corporate strategy, innovation concepts is required.
• Demonstrable ability to work on new concepts, learn new technologies and tools. Ability to understand and react positively towards change and build strong relationships.
• Demonstrated track record in development and implementation of practical solutions to complex strategic challenges.
• Ability to manage large project/ consulting teams (10+).
• Provide policy makers with key insights into the innovation driven governments, interdependency between innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development Proven IT skills in the Excel, Word, PowerPoint and G-Suite.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written). Fluency in Arabic is advantageous.
• The ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East.
