The Crowne Plaza Dubai is an upscale

rooms, 13 international restaurants and bars, and has one of the largest

Cost Controller
to join our
enthusiastic, warm and friendly Finance team at
Crowne Plaza Dubai
.
As the
Cost Controller
,
Under the general direction of the Director of Finance and Business
Support, and within the limits of InterContinental Hotels Group policies and
procedures, responsible for the accurate collection of all cost figures of
purchase and consumption related to food and beverage operation and ensures
sound food & beverage cost control systems & procedures. Promotes the
desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect,
One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.
DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL RETURNS
Review
standard purchase procedures for adherence in accordance with the internal
policy manual and report on deviations to Management to ensure appropriation of
inventory and stocks items.
Reconciles
total food and beverage purchases each period, from receiving report to supplier’s
accounts to ensure the accuracy of recorded items.
Ensure proper
storage, security and control for all food and beverage items kept in the
stores. Monitor issues of food and beverage items from the stores to ensure
proper handling.
Prepare
daily food and beverage cost report and monthly summary, maintain daily records
of cost, potential sales and actual sales for bars and investigate any
significant variances.
Organize and
complete periodical inventories of food and beverage items, maintaining sales
history to assist in planning and budgeting.
Prepare
standard month end food and beverage journal and cost distribution summary for
the actual record of food and beverage cost.
Educate and
train all team members in compliance with local law and safety regulations.
Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relations.
Provide regular and constructive feedback to direct reports, offering
guidance and suggestions on their personal development.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
Respond to external
and internal guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up to ensure guest
satisfaction.
Taking
appropriate action to resolve complaints.
Maintain
good relations with the supplier.
RESPONSIBLE
BUSINESS
Ensure
secured and suitable stores room with controlled access.
Develop and
adhere to Control Self-Assessment Procedures, maintain records and ensure
compliance.
Adhere to
all FLS requirements and conduct regular audits to maintain compliance.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Supervise Receiving & Stores colleagues.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s
degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Accounting/Finance and 2-4
years in hotel accounting and one year for the same position.
