Designer

There is an opportunity for an experienced Designer to join NEES Aluminium and Glass Contracting. The successful candidate will have proven previous design experience, within an aluminium manufacturing business.

The candidate will be responsible for making timely and cost-effective design decisions. They must determine the best designs suitable for the project, whilst also being cost efficient to the business.

The Designer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for initial project analysis and the preparation of design concepts
• Preparing detailed drawings with elevations, plans and sections for submission to clients and the Production Team
• Preparing the required detailed drawings, specifically of; structural glazing, spider glazing, curtain wall, skylights and canopies, etc.
• Preparing or revising BOQ, as per shop drawings
• Preparing material take off
• Preparing cutting list for fabrication

Previous design experience within an aluminium manufacturing business is essential, in addition to outstanding communication skills in English. The successful candidate will be confident in working in a start-up environment and establishing new processes and procedures.
