Dietitian

This position is within the Health & Dietetic Department and reports to the Health & Dietetic Manager.

The job holder will be responsible for supervising and monitoring effective functioning of the centralized nutrition/dietary unit across EKFC. The jobholder will manage and run all the diet related food service programs end to end, for EKFC employees and customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Advice and guide the Production team in day-to-day dietary requirements / issues, specifically when deviation from agreed standards occurs to ensure issues are dealt with in a timely and effective matter.
  • Inspect food preparation and food service for conformance with prescribed diets and agreed standards.
  • Update and maintain SOP for all EKFC supplied meals (particularly allergen related) in coordination with Quality and FS departments.
  • Contribute in the development, review and update of menus for all EKFC supplied meals.
  • Investigate, resolve and report all complaints related to EKFC supplied meals, canteens and other initiatives rolled out by N&H; department.
  • Conduct spot checks of EKFC supplied meals and other food service programs under this department to ensure that meals/programs conform to prescribed diets and standards of sanitation, palatability, appearance, and nutritional quality. Investigate and coordinate the resolution of concerns to ensure appropriate standards and processes are being adhered to.
  • Provide monthly reports (KPI’s, complaints trends etc.) to management, to enable corrective actions as appropriate and to illustrate the effectiveness of the department’s process and compliance with agreed standards.
  • Liaison with relevant departments to ensure effective processing procedures are followed for new ingredients, existing product innovation, operational sequence and food safety guidelines
  • Effectively implement various initiatives and processes for nutrition care, nutrition education, diet therapy, and food service programs (including canteen) to serve EKFC employees.
  • Regularly update and manage nutritional database and nutrition information. Manage, update and do spot checks to ensure policies for nutritional and dietetic processes are maintained and adhered to.

  • Keep abreast with industry developments and research & implement new concepts and innovative products / methodologies to enhance customer offering there by positively influencing customer satisfaction.
  • Guide key stakeholders to ensure clear requirements of food products are documented and readily available.
  • Comply with and practice EKFC Occupational Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
