The Distributor Business Manager, reporting to the Customer Solutions Director, will lead our distributor management strategy, in order to support MISSA’s aspiration of accelerating consistent, profitable and compliant growth. The role requires significant collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure we maximize relationships with our distributor partners to ultimately exceed our business commitments.


Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for managing the MISSA / Distributor relationship.
  • Liaison with Sales Leads and CSD on distributor selection & appointment, performance management and termination.
  • Ensures Due Diligence is in place for all distributors.
  • Liaison with Legal, CSD, Finance and Sales Leads to develop Distributor Agreements, incorporating annual commercial plan, commercial terms, service agreements, and negotiates signing with distributors.
  • Partners with Marketing, Commercial and Sales Leads to understand in-market pricing and develops pricing strategies to maximize to-market pricing, improve profitability and add customer value.
  • Ensures distributors comply with all J&J Compliance policies & regulations
  • Manages on-going relationship with distributor, including performance management : monitoring KPI’s (sales, receivables, marketing spend etc), sales team deployment & development, investment in professional education & promotional activities, conformity with other terms in agreement (compliance, quality, regulatory etc)
  • Leads regular Distributor Management reviews between distributor and MISSA management, continually looking to enhance the partnership. 
  • Obtains regular market intelligence, in-market sales, stock levels and other relevant data from key distributors in order to better understand, manage and develop our business.
  • Partners with Distributors and Sales & Marketing Leads to develop appropriate sales model, sales team deployment and effectiveness.
  • Partners with Distributors and Sales & Marketing Leads to identify key tenders, key public & private accounts and business and develops a multi-stakeholder business development plan to accelerate growth. Drives implementation of this plan.
  • Works with Commercial and Marketing on key bids, tenders and contracts to maximize our success rate and drive growth
  • Analyses and interprets sales data to identify sales opportunities and support investment decisions
  • Contribute to the annual strategic & business planning processes
  • Develop value propositions in collaboration with Regional Sales, Marketing & Commercial leads
  • Ensure SOP’s & WI’s are developed and implemented in support of recommendations from FCPA Audit

Qualifications
Requirements;

Relevant degree desirable, preferably in a business related discipline.
Strong commercial acumen, price management and influence management skills.
Proven track record in sales and marketing or commercial role, with strong commercial acumen and experience of managing distributors.
Ability to speak French desirable
Significant liaison and collaboration with marketing, sales leads and service partners to drive growth strategies
Experience of an international environment would be advantageous.
