Drilling Engineering Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
*
Manage operational support and guidance on specific projects identified by Operations.
*
Responsible for the implementation of the Pre-Job Engineering Process which brings value to internal and external customer base
*
Assists country (product line and geographic) management with determination and implementation of service line business strategies.
*
Ensure implementation of sound Drillstem design fundamentals, following industry accepted criteria as outlined through TH Hill DS-1 Standard and Weatherford Drilling Services operating procedures.
*
Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the following items: Drillstem design using pass/fail criteria, Torque and Drag Interpretation, optimization, and report generation, Hydraulics Interpretation, BHA static and vibration analysis, Jar Placement, Non-Mag Calculation and spacing requirements, Application of Steering Tool selection and support, Directional tendency prediction.

Oversee workshop and classroom seminars/training in Drilling Engineering methods, software packages, and work flows.
*
Assist local Business Development and Marketing with technical expertise, tender support, and Client visits.
*
Oversee Engineering Software related matters – Migration, Training, and Implementation.
*
Provide feedback through GPL established performance tracking system.
*
Upon request, participate in technical seminars and writing technical papers.
*
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Management Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
*
Must understand and comply with Weatherford GEMS and Management System.
*
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
*
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by Regional Manager within the physical constraints of the job
