Fettling In charge – Gulf Metal Foundry

Job Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for total Fettling operation, from knock out to dispatch. Adhere to fettling process and dispatch plan from PPC. Making daily reports on output both man power & machine.

Job Responsibilities :

- Ensure daily fettling output with respect to dispatch plan.
- Ensure the all the operation process are followed as defined.
- Ensure section wise output – Gas cutting, Heat Treatment, Shot blasting, Grinding, Swing Frame Grinding, Welding, Gouging and Packing.
- Ensure operator wise output per day.
- Ensure zero accidents in shop floor.
- Ensure daily cleanliness in shop floor.
- Ensure tracking in material consumption for Grade “A” products – Welding rod, Diesel, Shots, Oxygen and Acetylene, Grinding Wheels.
- Ensure manpower details – Attendance, over time and Leave.
- Ensure DA, packing list with respect to dispatch and machining purpose.
- Ensure packing with respect to proper traceability.
- Ensure raw material availability for fettling & welding as per monthly plan.

Desired Candidate Profile

10 years Degree/Diploma in mechanical / Foundry technology or ITI with 15 years’ experience in Foundry.
Experience in Steel /Cast iron foundry with fettling process and handled fettling department.
Knowledge in Heat treatment, welding process in foundry.
Should have experience in man power handling, and attitude to complete the task as per plan.
Strong communication skills.

Dimensions:

Number of Subordinates reporting to individual: Approx 30 (Fettling process employees) .
Will the individual be responsible for a budget in their professional capacity (Operating / Capital)?
No, indirectly will be involved in operating budget.
