Field Service Technician

We are looking for a technician with a background in hydraulics, electronics or mechanics to carry out allocated planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and remedial repairs on our motion simulators.

Candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision where appropriate, or work as part of a team.

Quality of maintenance and repair services and safe working practices are paramount in carrying out the duties which include:

• Carry out the planned and reactive maintenance on the electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems of the motion simulator, this includes checking hydraulic systems, bearings, shafts and sliders, electronic components and mechanical motion base.
• Monitor, rectify and/or repair equipment and update records on a daily basis. 
• Assist in monitoring part failures and individual machine specifications and update central records as required. 
• Integrate and communicate effectively with site maintenance and security staff as required. 
• Participate in overtime, shift work and/or out of hours working as governed by the necessity to maintain continuity of operation of essential plant and systems.
• Participate in emergency on-call service during non-working hours, weekends and public holidays.
• Carry out maintenance and repair activities as directed and adhere to Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Conform to all necessary internal and/or external approvals before, during and after maintenance and repair work including Permit to Work and maintenance procedures. 
• Maintain up to date knowledge through technical training provided for the safe and efficient operation of all maintenance and repair duties.
• Ensure that workshop is tidy and all assets are in good repair to promote the professionalism of the company.
• Participate in the Health, Safety & Risk programs including toolbox talks, health safety and environmental training related to work activities especially electrical safety and working at heights
• Use safe systems of work when working.
• Carry out all other duties as directed by the management to the benefit of the company and services to the Client.

Candidates should have the following skills:

- Minimum Associates degree or technical trade school diploma; four year degree in engineering or programming preferred. 
- More than 3 years experience in a similar role with a background in Electrical/Electronic, Hydraulic or Mechanical
- Strong fault finding skills 
- Ability to interact and build relationships with customers. 
- Ability to acquire and demonstrate trade skills and/or product knowledge to meet the requirements of the role. 
- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of products to resolve faults & repair parts. 
- Must be able to work with limited supervision.
- Good communication both written and verbal. 
- The ability to work under pressure. 
- Strong commitment to safety and safe working environment.
- UAE Driving Licence an advantage
