Finance Manager - METIS
Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts :
Lead the cluster and country level, monthly, quarterly and annual estimating and reporting processes, working closely with sales team
Provide sound analysis, supporting the reported results, explaining variances between the estimates and the actual results
Prepare and monitor the capital and investment budgets (all capex items including depreciation estimates)
Work in tight cooperation with other functions, including sales operations and service functions, for data reviews, estimate process and any other business requirements
Monthly close and reporting:
Ensure monthly sales and profitability targets are achieved, and timely reporting deadlines to both finance and business communities are met
Analyzing results for both geography and businesses, in the right level of detail , flag the data/reporting anomalies and follow up for resolutions
Working closely with the accounting/controller team to assure correct transactions are posted timely, to reflect the correct financial performance of the cluster
Pricing Controls and Business case preparations:
Actively supporting sales teams by preparing and analyzing business cases, approving prices and presenting to higher management when needed
Pre and post decision support including follow up of outcome & execution
Formulate financial conclusions and influence decision outcomes based on objective analysis.
Work with the other stake holders (service, controllers, legal) to review significant business plans/tenders to ensure business case assumptions’ are set correctly and risky and/or significant points are highlighted in the business cases
Controlling and approving sales quotes/pricing, in-line with corporate guidance and required margin requirements
General Business Partnering:
Present and explain monthly results to the leadership team and work with them and local teams to clearly identify root causes of variances and potential counter measures that can be undertaken to improve performance.
Provide support in development of local improvement strategies including a comprehensive understanding of market growth and share analysis.
Engage in cross-functional teamwork to determine critical success factors including sales compensation.
Finance support for Channel expansion, development and rationalization decisions
Working closely with the Credit Manager, ensuring there is a consistent approach to customers in the region with a target to ensure business potential is maximized and collection risk is minimized.
Other various tasks:
Actively communicate and coordinate the cluster’s results with the regional management, with a proactive approach to assure risks & opportunities are flagged and auctioned on timely
Timely answer all additional ad-hoc queries from various functions
Assure overall correct, compliant and profitable business environment and provide finance support for all required operations
Co-operate actively with the local controllers to:
review all key items, impacting performance and estimates
prepare & follow up on watchlist items (key issues of the region)
review and support booking of Rebates/ Commissions/ Discounts/ Promotions accruals; and link the relevant information to the estimate process.
ensure review of Revenue Recognition model for projects
Identify Margin/Cash/EBITDA improvement opportunities and lead implementation actions.
Support internal and external audits
Be supportive and be willing to participate and manage other miscellaneous projects or tasks that might come both at cluster and regional level
Academic/university degree in business economics or similar qualification
Financial & Analytical Skills; at least 7-8 years of experience in a finance manager role or similar senior positions
Accounting Knowledge: US GAAP & Taxation
Proven ability to address challenges, initiates and implements corrective actions
Self-driven to meet tight deadlines, able to handle stress well
Full understanding of the business cycle, proven success for business partnership
Strong understanding of channel business models, financial and compliance implications
High level of Interpersonal skills – can work effectively with both direct and indirect reports, and cross-functional teams
SAP and preferably BP&C; knowledge, high levels Microsoft office skills
