My client is looking for someone to hit the ground running and enhance the team. The Fire and Life Safety Specialist will be working on many prestigious projects.They will be involved in coordinating (as a technical advisor) between the architects, engineers, developers, contractors etc. in interpreting and enforcing fire protection requirements, fire and life safety codes, regulations and standards; investigates and prepares recommendations for alternate materials and methods.
Responsibilities
• Prepare, Review and approve drawings and documents (including the specifications) for complex fire suppression, fire detection, high piled storage or hazardous materials installations.
• Review life safety submittals and fire protection systems for compliance with the adopted fire and life safety codes, regulations and standards.
• Prepare reports and correspondence pertaining to fire and life safety codes.
• Disseminate information regarding new technological developments impacting the Fire and life safety unit activities and procedures.
• Attend field inspections of construction sites for compliance with all fire code requirements
