You as a Front End Sales Controller will be a part of the Electrification Products division and will be based in Dubai, UAE. The electrification products division manufactures low-voltage circuit breakers, switches, control products, wiring accessories, enclosures and cable systems to protect people, installations and electronic equipment from electrical overload. The division further makes KNX systems that integrate and automate a building's electrical installations, ventilation systems, security and data communication networks. You will act as a business-partner to local Division Sales & Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Director and Local Division Customer Support Manager to plan and execute the marketing, sales and distribution strategy for the division in the Country for all product BUs to achieve sales and market growth.
Your main responsibilities will include:-
1. Strategy planning and implementation
Contribute to the definition and the implementation of the marketing, sales and distribution strategy, along with business development initiatives, in alignment with Global Division and BU strategies.
2. Business planning and forecasting
Translate strategy into business plans and establish measurable targets. Oversee the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serve as the interface to Local Division Controller. Evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios and recommends actions.
3. Business performance
Support and monitor sales growth, margins and net price realization (by product, customer and channel), cost to serve customers, return on sales investment, customer support and marketing activities, personnel expenses development, scorecard setting and provisions. Assess, support and monitor country sales plans/forecast and related costs/resources.
4. Financial reporting
Under the leadership of the Local Division Controller, establish and oversee processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Enforcement of country/LP division and BU specific finance directives and instructions, enforcement of Group Accounting and Reporting Guidelines and if applicable filing as per local (legal) requirements.
5. Commercial Excellence
Ensure and support accuracy and efficiency of commercial and distribution/channel management related processes including quotation, sales price management, rebates and discount management, invoicing, credit collection and account receivables (due, overdue). Ensure implementation of efficient sales distribution controlling/accounting processes and governance. Monitor customer financial status, drive credit control and report any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.
6. Standards and governance Internal controls & compliance
Ensure and support monitoring and implementation of efficient sales transaction taxation, compliance with global and local standards, rules and regulations (including direct and indirect taxation, e.g. VAT, international transfer pricing regulation, custom duties), tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and share functional best practices and lessons learned across the ABB organization. Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
7. Risk management
Assess business risk exposure and define risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance. Ensure risk management processes are consistently implemented in own area of responsibility.
8. OHS & integrity
Support ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement processes and integrity performance.
9. People leadership and development
In coordination with the Local Division Controller, ensure (with HR Manager Support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Requirements:
Ideally you should have a bachelor's/ master's degree in finance and accounting with 5 years’ experience in a similar environment.
Knowledge of electronic industry is recommended.
