Position Overview
The Jumia Emerging Countries Global Head of Onsite leads shop management and design for the Jumia e-commerce platform in 14 countries across Africa. S/he oversees a team of over 20 professional in ensuring a quality look and feel of the website, implementing external and internal marketing content, user analytics, and design creation for across marketing channels. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Project management of marketing campaigns (from simple banners to complex fully-coded pages), processes optimization, tools implementation, reporting, and analysis
- Product management of onsite initiatives in coordination with tech and product teams
- Team management and recruitment of regional and local resources
- Defining KPIs/roadmaps/budgets with senior management and aligning them across the organization
- Sharing trends and best practices in e-merchandising and online user experience
Key Qualifications
- Prior experience in marketing, design, and/or coding (HTML, CSS, Java)
- Creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit blended with analytical aptitude
- Extreme attention to detail and proactive mindset to fix issues
- Proven ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Strong interest in retail and technology
- Fluency in English; French and other languages are a plus
- Advanced degree from a top-ranked institution
