Qualifications


JOB SUMMARY 
To enter all group bookings to the Marsha and Opera PMS System. Assure that information of customer appears correctly in hotel systems.  Manages tentative and definite group blocks in Opera versus Marsha.  Update hotel systems with details for definite groups and provide rooming list to the Event Management.  Handle required administration for groups in professional manner.

Education
Skills and Knowledge
Absolute understanding of the JW Marriott Dubai group and catering positioning of the hotel.
Knowledge of possible capacities and catering styles of the hotel.
Absolute understanding of the operations of the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai
Effective communication skills

Guest conflict resolution skills

Essential Functions
  • Enter and manage tentative and definite group blocks into Opera.
  • Update definite groups and build group blocks into Marsha
  • Secure rooming list prior to cut-off dates and input to Marsha
  • Focus on all necessary details  - flight details, special requests, transportation and visas
  • Track group slippage and history for post-group analysis.
  • Track all rate changes made to Opera PMS versus Marsha rates
  • Audit Marsha and Opera to ensure rooms inventory are balanced and reservation details are correct
  • Customer liaison is required
  • Send personal offer of quotation within 24 hours
  • Ensure all files are tidy and up to date.
  • Ensure re-active sales office files are maintained in an accurate and sensible order at all times,
  • Ensure re-active sales office is clean and tidy and all times, attend and participate in department meetings.

  • Ensure open communication is maintained at all times with all hotel departments.
