Heavy Equipment Operator

During Plant pre start-up phase:
- Participate in Plant commissioning activities; raise Mechanical and Mirror Cleaning related punch list items and warranty claims as appropriate.Attend training programme sessions. Learn, support and assist in the continuous improvement of HSSE policies and procedures. Review truck vendors' documents, maintenance manuals and spare parts lists. Participate in drafting mirror cleaning and maintenance procedures necessary for mirror cleaning operations and implementation.

During Plant operational phase:
- Enforce Company's HSSE and Quality policies and procedures, and ensure that all HSE measures and precautions are strictly considered and taken care of during the execution of mirror cleaning and maintenance activities to avoid any activity which might lead to Environment Health and Safety incidents / non conformities.
- Take ownership of mirror cleaning equipment and strive to reduce equipment downtime and ensure cost effective high Plant availability.
- Execute day to day mirror cleaning and maintenance activities according to Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) notification and priority set up by Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
- Safely perform troubleshooting activities as necessary along with the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance colleagues and Operations, to determine the cause of failure/issues and propose remedies to safely and cost effectively eliminate failures/issues.
- Ensure that drivers have all needed resources and tools to conduct mirror cleaning and Mechanical maintenance activities effectively and that tasks they perform are properly recorded in CMMS.
- Assists as requested, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor in preparing and scheduling daily jobs and long term mechanical maintenance and outage planning associated with mirror cleaning activities.
- Report to Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor all jobs carried out and record them properly in CMMS.
- Participate in UAE Nationals development programme.
- Participate in Plant scheduled shutdowns and turnarounds.
- In the event of an emergency the job holder will participate in the emergency (response) team as per his role in the emergency response plan, which may include provision of logistic support (such as driving of vehicles, equipment and hose delivery / supply…) to the emergency response team. He will participate in emergency drills and if necessary will be trained in first aid and firefighting techniques.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
