Internship

We are recruiting interns on behalf of a world famous, high-end hotel chain in Dubai. The role of Front Office Assistant will be for a duration of 6 or 12 months. The successful applicant will receive a salary, lunches and accommodation plus on the job training for the duration of the internship.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Welcome guests
- Ensure the smooth running of the front office desk
- Assist with the checking-in and/or checking-out of guests
- Assist with general enquiries (in person & on the phone) including reservations, room service & restaurants reservations
- Promote additional services offered by the hotel to increase sales
- Ensure all guest requests and queries are met promptly and efficiently
- Conduct daily reports
- Provide additional services such as wake up call, newspaper, luggage assistance etc
- Ensure all transactions are carried out in accordance with company policy
- Ensures the safety of the guests and property within the hotel
- Ensures the workplace remains clean and tidy at all times
Preferred Skills:
- Articulate with strong communication skills
- Be fluent in spoken and written English
- Numerate
- Have a professional manner
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Able to follow clear instructions
- Be organised, proactive and able to think on their feet
- Computer literate
- Able to work in a team and on own initiative
- Excel in a highly demanding environment
Desirable Skills:
- Experienced in a similar reception role
- Fluent in other European languages highly desirable
- Arabic B2 (An advantage, but not essential)

Eligibility:

- Must be available for a 6 or 12-month Internship
- Must be studying a hospitality and/or tourism-related degree (If not, successful applicants will still be eligible but will be required to undertake a part-time Hotel Management course while on the placement)
