Implementation Leader – Software and Analytics

Role Summary:
The Implementation Leader will lead multiple projects, initiatives and assignments with broad scope and high impact to the Power Generation Services business. In this role, you will be part of an “entrepreneurial” team that is focused on defining and delivering commercial software and analytics products for power generating customers, as part of GE’s industrial internet initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for strategic and complex assignments with long-term business implications. This position is responsible for implementing various new and existing NPI programs, in support of commercial product development, ranging from delivering analytics & visualization platforms to implementing time series historian systems. The Implementation Leader will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of a solution on medium to large projects. The Implementation Leader will drive the client implementation and will be involved in the development of several key project deliverables (, charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.) and work with the Client project manager. The Implementation Leader will also be responsible for managing the agreed to budget and delivering the project profitably. Key program and leadership areas include but are not limited to:
The coordination of multiple, simultaneous software & infrastructure project, initiatives and assignments with broad scope and high impact to our customers
Manage complex technology programs to facilitate the harvesting, ingestion and digestion of equipment operating and market data through smart analytics and visualization solutions
Partner with engineering, product management and customers to deliver commercial products, supporting Industrial Internet initiatives, aimed at driving customer value and growth for the power generation services business units.
In this position, you will:
Serve as the implementation lead for commercial software & analytics deployment at a customer Site Responsible, as a consolidated escalation point, for overall customer solution delivery across operations and services delivering a single service solution
Lead & execute deployment activities, including production release, testing & validation.
Maintain effective working relationship with customers/users, stakeholders, vendors and partners to integrate programs into overall strategic objectives.
Partner with shared technical and business resources ( Engineering, M&D;, ISS, SWCoE, IT etc.) to effectively deliver and support solutions
Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate/improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions for business process efficiency and productivity.
Ensure timely, consistent and, accurate responses to client queries, escalations, concerns or complaints
Drive improvements and initiatives in partnership with relevant stakeholders or business owners to resolve delivery issues, failures or adverse feedback from clients Build and develop awareness of the commercial and strategic value of the client within business leadership and senior management
Conduct reviews across all products and services to ensure continuous client focus, commitment and engagement.
Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate/improve business processes And Drive the translation of a customer's complex business problems into innovative technology solutions by designing complete solutions that leverage various software services components
Research possible solutions for solving a customer's business problems, perform an analysis of alternatives and lead the recommendation to a solution
Develop technology roadmap for assigned domains that reflect the company's operational / application needs while adhering to standards that promote efficient cost effective technology choices
Author and deliver solution designs, statements of work (SOWs) and technical proposals. project plans incorporating service and program management activities to support sales cycle
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Be responsible for thought leadership, continuous improvement
Qualifications/Requirements:
BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Engineering
5+ years of experience with client facing service delivery roles
Strong oral and written English & French communication skills
Capability to analyze, identify strategic aspects of enhancing and building client relationships
Works well under pressure and delivers on time
Demonstrable track record of managing and growing account relationships through operations and service delivery capabilities
10+ years of experience leading and managing large & complex business programs
10+ years of experience in business systems analysis and support including working with all aspects of software development lifecycle (requirements to post release validation
1 to 3 years of experience working with infrastructure (networks, servers, security, databases)
Experience with delivering commercial platforms for industrial business in energy markets
Experience with plant operations and management systems, trading & risk management systems or energy market systems
Experience working with ISOs, balancing authorities, power generating entities or load servicing entities
Desired Characteristics:
Outstanding program management & leadership skills.
Proven client engagement capability
Passionate about driving change/influence across cross functions
Demonstrated ability to lead in highly matrixed environment
Ability to translate strategic direction into tactical deliverables
Experience working with program management methodologies ( Agile, SDLC)
