Senior Buyer

Main Objectives

MBCME procurement department looks after all the non-production procurement activities across the region. Main objective of the role is to support the Senior Buyer in the absence of procurement manager.

Tasks
  • Assist senior buyer with daily tasks

  • Invoice reconciliation against Purchase Orders

  • Monthly closing of the Purchase Orders

  • Administer vendor evaluation topic

  • Support senior buyer with the RFQ process

  • Documentation maintenance

  • Administer the contract database

  • Cost saving activities

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • Microsoft Office knowledge especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word,

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Confident in communicating at all levels of seniority

  • Knowledge of procurement and the purchasing cycle will be an advantage

  • Excellent English language skills (German/Arabic will be an added advantage)

  • Ideally previous experience in an international environment (Cross-Cultural sensitivity)

Qualification
  • Degree in a business administration or equivalent
