Select Group is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to administrate, troubleshoot and monitor the Company IT network and infrastructure ensuring stability, security and availability of systems at all times. Main responsibilities include:
System Administration
- Monitors and maintains all computer systems and networks
- Manages MS Office 365 administration including setting up new users' accounts and permissions
- Installs and configures computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Maintains the integrity of company data by ensuring systems are monitored effectively and securely
- Monitors and maintains backup and recovery including carrying out logging and sampling of all system backups
- Implements and manages disaster recovery and carries out periodic testing
- Monitors and manages software licensing and ensures timely renewal
- Carries out routine maintenance of systems and applications
- Makes recommendations and obtains quotations for IT related hardware, software and consumables
- Coordinates with and supports other internal and 3rd party IT resources
Technical Support
- Provides first line support to users for all technical and functional issues
- Troubleshoots system and network issues
- Diagnoses and solves hardware or software faults
- Provides training to end users
System Development
- Researches and suggests IT solutions to business problems
- Continuously reviews the IT infrastructure, anticipates future network needs and identifies proactive solutions to satisfy business needs
- Tests and evaluates new technology
- Administrates and supports the roll-out of new software, applications etc.
