Job - Quantity Surveyor

Job Purpose:As the QS you will play a key role in managing the costs and minimising exposure to variations and claims. You would make sure that projects meet legal and quality standards, and that the Company get good value for its moneyJob Responsibilities*Oversee, administer and supervise preparation, compliance, administration and revision of contracts for crew management services*In charge of proposal planning, preparation and administration of contracts*Resolve contract payment disputes and confer with clients and internal departments concerning contract payments and compliance*Negotiate terms and conditions and ensure these are followed through the life of the contract and flag up any deviations*Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and budgets*Ensure compliance with the contracts*Minimise exposure to variations and claims*Assist in Reviewing variation proposals, variation orders and ensure status of contractual commitments is maintained*The QS position will involve daily interaction with the other teams and will report to the Financial Director/ Brand Director*Preparing bills of quantities*Assisting in establishing requirements and undertaking studies*Preparing and analysing costings*Analysing outcomes and assisting with detailed progress reports*Performing risk, value management and cost control*Understanding the implications of health and safety regulation*The role carries no expenditure authority or approval authority except as may be delegated from time to time and confirmed in writing*Perform other job related duties and conduct special projects as necessary or assignedWorking Relationship*Reports directly to the Finance - Director / BD Director or any such other person(s) as the Company may specify from time to time.*As a proactive team member, the Contracts/Proposal Administrator is expected to establish a high level of credibility and confidentiality, build close working relationships with the CEO, Director of Finance or CFO, Director of Business Development and all internal and external constituencies to add value where and when needed within the organization and to maintain the well-being of the company.For more information about this role please contact our Dubai office
