Lead Business Analyst

Role Summary:
The Business Analyst will be the conduit between our customers and our internal teams by translating customer requirements to detailed requirements for the development teams and managing projects assigned to you. In this role, you will be part of an “entrepreneurial” team that is focused on defining and delivering commercial software and analytics solutions for power generating customers, as part of GE’s industrial internet initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:In this position, you will:
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and if necessary, manage requests for changes to the specifications
  • Serve as the direct liaison to functional process owners in order to translate and prioritize requirements for assigned area project and maintenance work
  • Serve as a primary interface with internal and external contributing organization relative to technical requirements, directions and problem resolution
  • Documents user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures
  • Partners with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of information systems design, implementation, or integration)
  • Strong oral and written English & French communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management / business or system analysis experience in an information technology environment
  • Experience working to document processes and system requirements
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, proficiency in other Microsoft Office suite applications (PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio)

  • Reliable and has ability to adapt his/her communication style to different stakeholders
  • Experience working with program management methodologies ( Agile, SDLC)
