Accountabilities:
Handle sensitive and confidential information
Handling of communication with internal clients related to all requests for documentation
Drafting and preparation of legal correspondence (self-correspondence), legal notices and other external communications
Preparation and drafting of legal documentation; including Exclusive Bottling Appointments, Letter Amendments, Export and Import Authorizations; Distribution Authorizations, Authorization Update Letters, Marketing and Sponsorship Agreements, and other agreements.
Litigation Management - including tracking all reported litigation, communicating with external counsel to secure timely reporting; coordinating sharing of the relevant data with Control and management, and reporting internally within the Law Department.
Trademark Management; including coordination and tracking of all TM matters, including TM registration, infringement actions and conflict resolution, working with the business/marketing teams and the TM department in U.S., as well as BU counsels. .
Support management of external counsel by coordinating and obtaining country specific legal data/opinions, consolidating multi-jurisdiction opinions, filing and searching archived opinions.
Corporate Secretarial; supporting all aspects of corporate governance, including license renewals, appointment of authorized signatories, issuance of power of attorneys, coordinating trade/commercial registration renewals for branch/rep offices (where necessary).
Contract execution; coordinating document execution by third parties and PEP authorized signatories as may be required
Compliance-related matters; including preparation of Office of Foreign Asset Control license applications/renewals and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance monitoring, tracking and reporting.
Coordinating regional response to global/sector/regional legal inquiries,
Maintaining legal databases and files, and driving process enhancement initiatives
Tracking outside counsel spends and budgets Supporting the preparation of legal presentations, training and best practice material.
Drafting of legal memos and summaries
Assist Legal Counsel in any other matter as required
4 year law degree
Bar Qualified
Previous Experience
Excellent communication skills
Excellent document drafting skills
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Professional maturity
Bilingual is a plus
