Manager Lean Program

Provide initiation, definition, delivery and closure of lean deployment projects.

  • Manage multiple work stream in a deployment concurrently.
  • Execute projects with quantified revenue impact as well as material operational improvements in line with the overall strategic initiative of Shurooq Lean Practice and commercial value proposition.
  • Coach and develop both lean and interpersonal skills of central lean team resources, , project managers, senior and business analysts
  • Coach and guide line management in lean management and support capability building in pilot and roll-out sites.
Key Result Areas

  • Manage the deployment rollout and own the project goals, risk issues and resources for the duration of the assignment, ensuring that all project commitments are met.
  • Present status updates as well as recommendations to the decision groups and be responsible for the logistics of the meetings.
  • Manage any appropriate approvals and review process at each stage of the project.
  • Perform review function for project and report to the PMO of the lean practice.
  • Publicize and market the objectives of the Project with the rest of the business community within the scope of the rollout as well as present success stories and track record.
  • Ensure clear handover at each stage and to the business at closure for sustainability and control.
  • To provide leadership and strategic direction to the project team.
  • Devise and implement own self development plan for the team.
  • Liaise with other project/programme managers to ensure deliverables/approach are consistent with the objectives of the overall programme.
  • Identify interdependencies between projects and ensure these are clearly understood and articulated.
  • Build relationship with areas exposed to as well as across the bank.
  • The role may include responsibility for deployments which involve significant organisational change or significant business impact.
  • Plan, organise and control projects in order to deliver quality business solutions within agreed timescales and to an agreed Terms of Reference.
  • Ensures the project deliverables are capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business case.
  • Collaborate with project managers, senior business analysts, business analysts and project sponsors to ensure the lean rollouts are clearly understood and deliverables are adhered to and documented.
  • Responsible for the performance/delivery of sub projects managed through Project Leaders and business analysts.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Overall work experience of at least 10-15 years.
  • Minimum experience of at least 7-8 years experience in related fields including change management, process improvement, six sigma projects, customer focus initiatives etc.
  • Proven track record of successful managing major projects or elements of major change programmes and recognized as a senior project management practitioner.
  • Proven application of project management techniques and knowledge of project methodologies.
  • Stakeholder management, Relationship Management, People Management, Change Management.
  • Project Planning, Lifecycles and Approval Process.
  • Risk & Issue Management.
  • Budget Management, Time & Resource Planning and Reporting.
  • Experience in external party Management.
  • Proficient use of project tools MS Project
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook
