SummaryThe position servers as a key person for providing a variety of student services for all students of the university. This position requires to implement programs and services in coordination with other academic as well as administrative units of the university.
  
Key ResponsibilitiesThe main duties and responsibilities of the Manager Student Services are to:
  • Provide guidance for the wide range of student activities outside the classroom to build a sense of respect, responsibility, and trust among students.
  • Coordinate with other University departments and with external organizations to provide assigned student services.
  • Enhance students' retention by strengthening university support services in the areas of student mentoring, advising, career planning, and co-curricular activities.
  • Provide assistance to University students in overcoming their non-academic issues and problems.
  • Enhance communication between students and administration by organizing a variety of functions, events, and forums.
  • Organize and conduct various orientation programs for University students.
  • Implement and administer the student conduct code and other policies concerning students' discipline.
  • Assisting students in the resolution of issues, concerns and problems.
  • Encourage student clubs and co-curricular activities to strengthen student-centered approach.
  • Participate in the functions, activities organized by University students.
  • Supervise all the meetings, minutes, and activities conducted by the Students Council.
  • Meet the Students Council members to discuss ongoing issues and events.
  • Nominate students for fellowships and recommend for various awards.
  • Serve on standing and ad hoc committees as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Affairs.
  
Qualification
  • A Master degree in education or related field required.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven collaborative and leadership skills
  • High level of integrity and honesty.
  • Highly levels of adaptability, flexibility.
  • Strong communication, presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge in preparing reports and drafting plans;
  • Preferably Bilingual (Arabic and English)
  
ExperienceMore than 3 years of experience in providing student services in the higher education sector is required.
