Marketing Specialist Middle-East & Africa

Position Scope: In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing key strategies and programs to generate demand and build brand awareness for Liferay products and solutions. The candidate must possess strong project management, coordination, collaboration, and communication skills. The individual will work closely with the broader marketing team and the local sales team to build and drive marketing initiatives.
Key responsibilities, in the context of the respective marketing plans for Worldwide, EU:
This job encompasses the general execution of the appropriate marketing plan tasks in the region / country:
Events – 25%
  • Assistance in planning, organization and execution of company events, 3rd party / industry events and webinars throughout Middle-East/Africa. Management and coordination of 3rd party vendors. Up to 50% travel;
  • Analytics: manage, track and report events costs; measure and track event results as defined in the marketing plan;
(1) Brand Awareness and
(2) Qualified Lead Objectives
  • Manage, track and organize lists of event or webinar attendees
Marketing – 60%
  • Work with Marketing Manager and country managers to identify objectives in Middle-East/Africa in the context of the respective regional marketing plan and local needs, assist in creation of integrated marketing campaigns; assist in creation of customer case studies;
  • Content creation: create value-based content and messaging for local markets
  • Localization: ensure timely localization and translation of corporate web content and marketing collateral, ensure that content is up-to-date
  • Marketing Automation, Social Media: become familiar with using marketing automation, CRM and social media tools used in the company and leverage those to achieve marketing / event goals in respective countries.
Support of tasks not listed above, as directed by management – 15%

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing professional with B2B program-level experience, in software or another technology sector.
2 to 4 years of proven and measurable experience in developing and coordinating traditional and new media-based B2B marketing programs including web marketing, online advertising, events and other lead generation vehicles.
Understanding of email programs, internet technologies, interactive marketing, print, and corresponding success factors.
Excellent oral presentation, written communications, and sales interaction skills are a must.
Ability to work independently across varying marketing initiatives, working with local and overseas teams, sometimes across functional areas, as necessary.
Knowledge of a CRM and customer experience market a plus.
Degree in Marketing or Business, or comparable education/experience.
Fluent English is compulsory for the role, a good level of French is required for the Maghreb area.
Written & Spoken Arabic is highly requested (all Marketing materials should be done in English and Arabic)
