Oracle eCommerce Cloud, PreSales Consultant

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle is looking for an eCommerce Solutions Consultant to provide technical presales support to the Oracle Applications sales team across Middle East & Africa.

The consultant should have lots of drive and the enthusiasm to turn our customer’s business challenges into solutions and value. The role is perfect for someone inherently curious; a person that loves what they do and who devours information related to their field, their profession and their craft; they read about, enthuse about it and talk with passion to whoever will listen.

In this role you will focus on Oracle’s eCommerce solutions (On Premise and Cloud), providing pre-sales support to the sales teams, other Solutions Consultants and Oracle’s partners. You will communicate the value of Oracle’s eCommerce solutions and their place in the wider Oracle Customer Experience suite of products.

Responsibilities:


Provide pre-sales support during Oracle's eCommerce and other sales cycles, including RFPs, presentations, demonstrations, and related activities



Work with the account team to develop and implement strategies and solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver immediate business value



Continuous learning of new Oracle technologies and solutions that support Oracle's eCommerce, in order to provide innovative and complete solutions to customers and business partners



Ability to work in multi-country teams and mange multiple customer engagements concurrently



Promote Oracle’s solutions and strategy via Social Media



Develop relationships with other internal stakeholders, including Product Management and the Retail Global Business Unit.

Requirements:


Experience in one or more of the following roles: presales, solution architect, product manager, or worked in a managerial role for an eCommerce dept for a major B2C business



Experience of eCommerce or mCommerce, Payment Service Providers, Content Management, SEO.



Knowledge of PCI compliance rules



Knowledge of ATG or competitive products such as Hybris, Solr, Magento, Demandware and IBM



Experience of working in the following industry sectors: retail, telecommunications, media/entertainment and consumer product manufacturing



Excellent presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs and prepare compelling business propositions



Self driven, results orientated with a proactive attitude and a clear focus on high quality



40-60% travel required



Must be fluent in English, additional languages are highly desirable.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
