Partner Account Executive

The Partner Account Executive is responsible for developing new sales, increasing revenue from existing clients, pipeline development and driving new business development from Akamai’s existing channel partners. The Partner Account Executive is also responsible for recruiting new partners in the region that allow Akamai to expand sales of its services through a controlled and well-managed partner eco-system.

About the Team

Our Channel Sales & Programs team members contribute a blend of sales, channel sales, and marketing experience. Resale of Akamai managed services provide unique recurring revenue opportunities for resellers whose product or service focus is that of assisting customers in managing the delivery of information and applications over the internet. Akamai has a comprehensive partner program aimed specifically at enabling the partner to efficiently sell and support a portfolio of Akamai products.

Responsibilities · Grow revenue by identifying the most productive contacts within the reseller partner. Communicate Akamai’s value proposition through in-person meetings, conference calls, sales activities, trainings and other events.
· Recruit new partners that allow Akamai to expand in the region, whilst maintain a controlled and managed eco-system.
· Accelerate the sales cycle by providing sales, technical and administrative support to the reseller Partner and attain the assigned sales quota and company business objectives.
· Drive the development and coordination of short and long-range channel sales strategies to assure incremental growth of Akamai’s revenue within the reseller customer base.
· Champion and maintain a superior relationship with the channel and Akamai’s field sales teams.
· The Senior Partner Account Executive must research, understand and articulate the features and benefits represented by all products within this position's scope and work to deliver the performance metrics defined by management to ensure a consistent level of effort and dedication to the task.
· Responsible for developing and managing variety of territories and partners, accountable for planning and success of territory.
· Developing, owning and executing upon joint business-planning with partners to build best-in-class value propositions.
Basic Qualifications

Over 5 years successful sales experience related to Internet, Network, Web applications services and products.

Demonstrated sales skills utilizing a proven sales process such as Solutions selling.

Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Desired Qualifications

Successful sales track record and quota achievement in both direct and indirect sales role within a services company. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
