PR Coordinator

Reports to the Board of Directors.

The purpose of the position will be to develop a Public Relation (PR) strategy and to execute the implementation plan in coordination with PR agencies and other media companies.

Key responsibilities:
- To make a plan and develop and implement the PR strategies
- Shortlisting + selecting PR companies to implement the PR Strategies
- Managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.
- Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
- Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports
- Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programs
- Devising and coordinating photo opportunities
- Liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople
- Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email
- Sourcing and managing speaking and sponsorship opportunities to create a newsletter bot internally and externally
- Organizing events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours;
- Maintaining and updating information on the organizations website;
- Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as LinkedIn and Twitter

Internal: Communicate staff and clarify requirements in a timely manner.
External: Communicate with PR Agencies, Event Planners, Social Media Experts, Media

Requirements

- Degree Educated
- 3-5 yrs experience within the UAE, preferably within a blue chip company as a client preference
- Excellent IT Skills
- A clear and effective communicator both written and verbal
- Strong presentation skills
- Awareness of different media agencies
- Ability to plan effectively
