Sales & Business Development Executive.
The ideal candidate must have previous
experience working with Events / Exhibition Stands / Interior related.
Job Description:
Responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the Events team with an emphasis on retaining and expanding current client business. Responsible for managing the execution of successful corporate events, overseeing all client budgets and ensuring that revenue and account profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sourcing new Clients.
- Developing a strategic plan for the department – aligning objectives with overall company goals
- Generating new business
- Effectively communicating with current & prospective clients
- Planning & managing events (incl. supporting event managers with planning/execution of event)
- Work with appropriate individuals / team to develop and monitor timelines and deadlines related to all aspects of events, ensuring the information is communicated with staff.
- Attend the event and provide on‐site support.
-Assist in the evaluation, inspection and selection of locations for events, as far in advance as possible. Participate in site visits, if needed
- Negotiate contracts and evaluate options with a variety of vendors for events and arrange for all related services with vendors, such as decorators, audio‐visual needs, transportation, signage, entertainment, etc.
- Collaborating effectively with other departments
- Manages client billings and expectations with budge t
Qualifications:
· Specialist industry knowledge
· Proven experience managing a team from client delivery and staffing perspective
· Strong production and technical knowledge
·Developing others, attention to detail, strong time management and multi-tasking skills,
flexibility and professional confidence.
· Possesses solid presentation skills, including ability to communicate and sell ideas to prospects
· Proven leadership skills.
· Must be self-motivated, highly organized, articulate, and possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
