Sales Support Engineer
Support the Motor service sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key coordinator for technical and routine documentation.
Tasks:
Below are the main accountabilities of this role -
Sales Support:
- Supports the local sales organization and customers in determining most technically appropriate and cost effective solutions for Motor service offerings including replacements, spare parts and advanced services.
- Follow-up with customers for selected offers, as agreed with sales/service managers.
- Maintain database for enquiries / offers and analyze time to prepare complete offers on regular basis to do necessary improvement actions
- Actively participate in Net Promoter score survey to understand customer response and look for improvement actions
Offer Preparation: Prepares/Supports preparing technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local BU /factory guidelines. Participate in the kickoff meetings with customers/project team as required.
Estimation:
- Co-ordinate with vendors and sales team to arrive at optimum cost for ABB offering
- Preparation of estimates and getting necessary approvals
Risk Review: Provide information for the risk review process and actively participate in the risk review as per requirement
Competitive Analysis: Analyses customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by sales organization
Workshop / Warranty handling:
- Co-ordinate with service team and factory’s for warranty repair handling and related documentations
- Time sheet entry support for service engineers
Lost proposal Analysis: Perform lost order analysis, identify potential causes and recommend future actions in co-ordination with sales and service management

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- 10+ years of experience
- Fast Learner
- Electrical Engineering diploma/Degree.
- Work experience with LV and MV Motors
