Your role together with the Head of Underwriting and Actuarial and other senior managers will be to define the overall strategy, targets, objectives and enhance the key competencies of the actuarial and underwriting department.

YOUR JOB

• To support Reinsurance (RI) clients in the MEA region by acting as a senior actuarial consultant, providing high-quality pricing and underwriting services as well as new health product pricing within pre-defined MR guidelines to evaluate, quantify and mitigate their risks appropriately.
• Provide quality Client Offerings by ensuring that key actuarial competencies are scalable and accessible for all MEA Clients.
• Define a highly automated process for detailed monitoring of health insurance pricing, products and reserving in order to evaluate and manage risk appropriately and contain healthcare costs.
• Price primary insurance products of MEA clients and evaluate/calculate risk factors appropriately (with a focus on non-standard products).
• Conduct regular premium reviews to ensure appropriate future pricing of products.
• Support in defining an analytical / actuarial roadmap with tangible progress along the strategic path
• Be instrumental in defining features for the analytic suite in alignment with MR stakeholders
• Develop further the analytic offering for all MEA clients, with a high tangible value for our clients

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Economics or a comparable degree with sound mathematical background
• Fellowship in the national Society of Actuaries ( DAV, FSA, FIA)
• Several years of insurance and/ or reinsurance and/ or actuarial experience, with at least three (3 to 5) years of reinsurance experience
• Excellent technical actuarial skills
• Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel; including the ability to manage programmers
• Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail
• Good interpersonal and communicational skills
• Team player, motivated, dependable and open-minded
