Position Overview
Reporting to the operations manager at Skydive Dubai Desert Campus, the video editor is responsible for all activities associated with the planning, production, and distribution of videos for our Desert Campus location.
The video editor will work alongside the Marketing, IT and website / social media teams to create and edit videos that align with the organization's goals and to execute & distribute video content that will engage & captivate the target. Must be able to edit and deliver completed videos within a stated deadline.

Responsibilities  
  • Professionally edit photos and videos for our tandem skydive customers on deadline;
  • Manage production & distribution schedules for all;
  • Coordinate with the IT Manager to create videos in sequence with other content ( website, blog, social media, marketing, etc.) ;
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize;
  • Write & proof scripts for host, speaker(s);
  • Develop a storyboard and production schedule for each non-tandem skydiving video;
  • Edit recordings to appeal to the target audience; adding sound effects, text titles, etc.;
  • Follow approved workflows and company guidelines such as the brand guidelines;
  • Provide limited customer service in support of the company mission and rules 
Job Requirements
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills; 
  • Proven work experience as a video editor;
  • Extensive knowledge of the video production process is a plus;
  • Solid experience filming and editing engaging;
  • Strong background utilizing video editing software (Sony Vega, Photoshop, Final Cut, After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, 3D graphics or other related software);
  • Expertise in sound production; 
  • High level of written, verbal & editing skills is a must;
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining the ability to collaborate on new content development;
  • Exceptional organizational skills required;
  • Ability to present and pitch ideas effectively to team;
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Sony Vega, and other software;
  • Effective time management, organizational, and leadership;
  • Able to record video using Canon DSLR's, GoPro's and other provided equipment.  
Education, Experience, Skills
  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in film/video production, fine arts, marketing, communications, or related;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in video editing, video production or related field;
  • Must have demonstrable prior experience with video editing on tight deadlines; 
  • Background in journalism is a plus; 
  • English language skills must be excellent, other languages are a bonus; 
  • Must be able to meet HR requirements for living and working in the UAE;
  • Must have reliable transportation and a UAE driver's license
