• Collection and follow-up for obtaining market approval for Debit Notes and Credit Notes
• Primary liaison for all corporate vendors and agents
• Market focal point for collection, scanning and archiving of all original documents (i.e. invoices, debit notes, supporting documentation) for the purpose of invoice processing and tax inspection.
• Responsible for the collection, tracking and approval follow up on Gulf’s distributors debit/credit notes.
• Market focal point for the collection and archiving of employees expense reports and bar code scanning of PT&E reports.
• Responsible for all quality control on submitted expenses
• Coordinate between GFS and Gulf market as required
• Follow up with GFS on Vendors/Institutions urgent payment.
• Engage in special projects as requested by Management and Clients.
• Takes direction and reports to the Local Business finance.
• Prepare reconcile of account that is Market responsibility.
• Assist with employee training for new hires and ongoing employee training.
• Oversee complex projects with local business finance (ex: OTP)
• Establishes good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Support in projects related to local Legal entities, scientific office and representation offices harmonization in market.
• Review and manage in market staff deliverables. Markets finance will be the primary contact and responsible on the tax with the support of GFS -Prague to complete the needed deliverables.
• Support & prepare with the coordination with SAR Team in Dublin, local statutory financial statements for markets, including proposing adjusting entries between local Accounting standards and US GAAP. This is not limited to preparation for local statutory financial statement and the reconciliation between local and US GAAP financial statements.
• Work with local finance in Market to discuss and review new tax regulation and agree on the model of handling requirements from the government (starting 2017).
• Monitor Tax deliverables and due dates with local finance in market to insure due dates are met (starting 2017).
• Coordinate and complete any local regulatory requirements relayed to finance department (example: VAT, etc.) (starting 2017)
• Help minimize any local statutory or Tax risks through discussing with local market business finance.
• Perform research and prepare/review technical tax memorandum (if needed) (starting 2017)
• Prepare all types of tax returns required by Law; this is not limited to VAT if any (starting 2017).
• Handles local tax inspections in coordination with local staff and local Tax firms (if any).
• Prepares research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for documenting the bases of calculation for each Tax provision booked in the ledger.
• Responsible for interfacing with internal auditors (Gulf, Levant and Regional Office) for T&E.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shared service operations
• Strong Excel and Word skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with SUN or E1 preferred
