Admissions and Recruitment Officer

The American University in Dubai invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Admissions and Recruitment Officer.

The fundamental responsibility of this position is to attend to student inquiries via phone and email, assist in student recruitment and help the Admissions Office in their daily tasks to achieve their goals.
Principle Responsibilities:
• Entering data from new leads into the computer
• Conducting AUD campus tours as required
• Attending to all walk-in clients
• Updating and maintaining students’ records and files
• Corresponding with new students to inform them of current application status and missing documents required to complete their files
• Sending out appropriate information and materials regarding student’s admission
• Coordinating and scheduling events such as school visits and open days at university
• Planning , scheduling and booking placement tests
• Maintain and update ‘Evaluation File’ on PTEST for transfer students.
• Assisting Admissions Coordinators with recruitment exercises
• Responding to queries by e-mail, phone and fax
• Participating in promoting the university at various events
• Scanning all files before they are handed over to the Registrar’s Office as required
• Scanning of admission’s and registrar’s updates and attaching the scanned updates to Image Now Software as required
• Proctoring exams
• Receiving, assigning and following up on online applications & payments
• Entering application data on Campus Student Master – main screen
• Maintaining an updated record of all forms used by the admissions office.
• Assisting in other Admissions tasks as needed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management skills
Essential Qualifications:
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to enter data and process basic transactions using Campus 2000.
• Applicants with multilingual skills will be given preference
Desired Additional Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of the admissions process
• General data base knowledge and strong knowledge in excel
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent
