Applications are invited from individuals with and emerging research or scholarship track records in the areas of marketing and general management. The successful candidates will be expected to join a vibrant team of academics within the Department of Business Management and to work collaboratively across the University in multidisciplinary teams.
Successful candidates would be expected to partake in either research or scholarship and a full range of teaching and administrative activities, there will be opportunities for suitably motivated candidates to provide leadership in development of new areas of research and scholarship across our international campuses.
Successful candidates will form part of an integrated academic team operating across all three campus locations.  Academic aspirations will be encouraged and supported and you will be collaborating with leading academics from all locations to deliver outstanding student experiences globally.  Notably business management students can, and do, transition between campuses for some, or most, of their programme of study.   Further details on Go-Global initiative is available at 

  • Minimum qualification: Doctorate
 Person Specification  

These are the attributes e.g. skills, knowledge/qualifications and competencies which are required in order to undertake the full remit of the role. 
Essential
 PhD or within 3 months of completion in relevant discipline.
 Record of successful teaching and in higher education 
 Experience of developing innovative learning via VLE
 Experience of dissertation supervision
 Evidence of an emergent publication record.
 Ability to work effectively with colleagues as part of a team.
Desirable
Ability to represent the school on University-wide committees and participate in the development of the University. 
Effective networking with external academic, business, professional and governmental organisations 
Experience of setting and monitoring academic quality standards. 
Evidence of academic leadership at module level.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals such as those contained in the Chartered ABS journal ranking.
Essential Criteria ? these are attributes without which a candidate would not be able to undertake the full remit of the role.  Applicants who do not clearly demonstrate in their application that they possess the essential requirements will normally be eliminated at the short listing stage.
Desirable Criteria ? these are attributes which would be useful for the candidate to hold.  When short listing, these criteria will be considered when more than one applicant meets the essential criteria.
