To assist Head of Credit Wealth Management for GCC in coordinating and driving the Credit structuring & Risk management of Wealth Management activities:
A. Credit Risks
B. Credit Structuring
Administrative and Credit Risk management of OBU Wealth Management.
Direct Responsibilities
1. Evaluate credit risk (financial, transactional and other) relating to new WM business proposals and to advise the Credit Committees through succinct presentations so that the bank can pursue risk-conscious business with timely decision-making.
2. Review credit risk (financial/transactional) at least annually relating to existing business continuing on the bank’s books, to confirm that credit risk remains acceptable and authorise renewal for the continuation of existing credit limits.
3. Evaluate country risk (economic /political) using all available sources in order to assist the Head of Credit (HoC)-MEA in setting prudent group country limits (bearing in mind business requirements as well as risk diversification/control).
4. Monitor existing credit files regularly, in order to alert the FO/HOC-MEA and revise risk ratings in case of need, to enable the bank to take timely action to protect portfolio values where necessary.
5. Work closely with other Credit Team Members and other colleagues within Metier-Credit Globally to develop credit, implement new collateral studies, and embed WM credit related knowledge within the department.
6. Work with WM Credit / FO teams to ensure that WM DIFC comply with the Bank’s (and Group) credit policies, procedures and customer limit specifications, by regular review of applications/reports and consultation provided to FO staff, so as to maintain the integrity of the bank’s control systems.
7. Provide Training and support to all WM DIFC FO staff, on all aspects of credit risk analysis and credit procedures.
8. Support Head of Credit -MEA in any project or strategic initiative as may be required.
Knowledge & Skills required:
- Knowledge of the process flow of bank transactions and the correct use of the Bank’s systems.
- Good knowledge of Credit / Operational risk
- Good knowledge of credit related legal documentation.
- Good knowledge of Balance Sheet analysis
- Good knowledge of Wealth Management products
- Good sense of risks.
- Good communication skills – oral,
- Ability to analyse and detect risks.
- Credit Structuring
- Organization skills.
- Excellent report/procedure/presentation writing skills
Mandatory Requirements
§ Education Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or relevant field
§ 5 to 7 Years of experience (Overall and relevant experience)
§ English, French
