Field Service Engineer
My client, one of the largest Electronics Display Businesses internationally, is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer for its operations based in UAE looking after Middle East/West Asia/Africa region. Field Service Engineer will provide technical services such as maintenance, training, and production for these display products.

Description
The role of Field Service Engineer will include, but not limited to the following:
Technical Service
Gain knowledge about products and processes.Provide installation support and perform maintenance for displays, sound systems, and control equipment. May include on-call and event support responsibilities.Provide phone, remote and on-site support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of product.Work with Sales, Project Managers, service staff, customers and other personnel to solve technical issues.Plan and prioritize customer requests and scheduled work.Appropriately document all services performed: service logs, work logs, inventory and shipping documents.Travel via ground or air to customer sites within the area. Potentially travel out of area for installations and/or training.
Installation Support
Assist with field product installations.Provide on-site technical support, which may include terminating fiber, field repair, testing and system level troubleshooting.Provide basic operator and maintenance training.Follow the procedures outlined in the Installation Supervisor's Guide.
Relay customer feedback on product performance and features to Customer Service and Engineering, including detailed site reports on installation and service work.Train service partners.Conduct product demonstrations.Take key role in service relationship with customers.
Profile
For the role of Field Service Engineer the ideal candidate must have the following :
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Engineering or related field is required.Two or more years of experience in audio visual systems or installation is Must.Available to work evenings and/or weekends to support facility event schedules or to take direct customer calls.Must be willing to travel outside of the U.A.E. The majority of the travel will be throughout the Middle East, West/Central Asia and Africa. Occasional travel will also be required to locations such as the United States and Europe. Travel will be approximately 30% of the time.Must have good written/verbal communication skills in English. A language skill in Arabic, Russian or French is strongly desired.
