Job Summary:

The HR Manager leads a team of HR Business Partners and acts as a strategic partner to the line by embedding corporate HR strategy into day-to-day work and providing professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal client groups with the objective of adding value to the business.  In coordination and collaboration with HR Centers of Expertise, Global Mobility, and the HR Service Center, the HR Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function within an assigned region.


  1. Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
  2. Act as a liaison between the line and HR COEs and HR Services to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs.  Support and partner with the HR COEs to demonstrate a united HR team
  3. Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders.
  4. Assist business unit leaders in providing employees with development opportunities that align with current and future performance standards.
  5. Support the business with labor relations strategy, management of employee and industrial relations, consultations, disciplinary appeals, conflict resolution, negotiations and mediations.
  6. Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR policies and initiatives.
  7. Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
  8. Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
  9. Leads talent reviews and succession planning exercises to ensure the business has the necessary capabilities to accomplish objectives.
  10.  Support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function or business strategy.
  11. Facilitate a strong leadership and coaching culture.
  12. Provide development, guidance, and oversight of HR staff within an assigned region.
  13. Support the business by leading change management efforts such as organization restructuring, M&A, workforce reductions, etc.
Qualification
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management, or related field.
  2. Graduate degree preferred
  3. 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with previous HR management experience preferred.
  4. Previous experience working for a global organization is preferred
  5. In-depth knowledge of local governmental policy, regulations and employment laws and Union relations.
  6. Experience working across multiple countries and cultures with a deep understanding of how to navigate and work effectively across large and complex matrix organizations a plus.
