The Event Operations department manages activities across the event delivery of Expo 2020. Event Operations includes the following service areas: Catering, Cleaning & Waste Management, Logistics, Security, Transport & Parking, Site Management, Accreditation, Guest Services, Venue Operations, Village Accommodation Services.

Opportunity Responsibilities

The Manager Readiness, Resilience & Response will lead all related activities for Event Operations department and the wider organization. 

The main responsibilities in this role will include: 

- Take responsibility for the Readiness, Resilience & Response (RRR) strategy from now until end of operations; 

- Lead the design, development, implementation and operations of the Central Command Centre; 

- Ensure response plans are robust, detailed and consistent across all departments and Functional Areas, to include external stakeholders; 

- Work with the Event Operations Delivery office to ensure resilience, contingency plans and crisis management plans are well designed and implemented; 

- Support the Head Venue Planning and Integration transition the Event Operations department from a concept and planning phase to readiness and execution phase; 

- Lead the development of the test event plans, desktop and simulation exercising as part of a fully scoped readiness programme.

Skills

5+ years experience in a senior role working on a previous major event programme, and/or specific experience related to operations and readiness, resilience & response; 

- Bachelor's degree, preferable in a related field; 

- Programme / project manager experience leading complex projects; 

- Knowledge across all key event operational functions; 

- Experience in working in a multi-cultural organisation, GCC region desirable; 
- Experience in working with senior multi agency Government partners and stakeholders.
