Project Manager Operations Volunteers

The Volunteers Department is responsible for recruiting and managing 30,000+ volunteers across departments and projects on the lead up to and during Expo 2020. The department will also develop volunteer-related communications, planning and engagement activities taking place prior to the launch.
Main responsibilities of this role include:
- Coordinate the Operational Delivery of the volunteers before and during Expo 2020;
- Create a project plan with an efficient breakdown of tasks and milestones to complete projects within timelines and budget;
- Track status of project deliverables and milestones, supporting the adoption of the project lifecycle and deliverables, and communicate execution progress to the line manager and the team;
- Prepare and provide regular project status updates, and report red flags to the line manager when appropriate;
- Define and update the project management processes, standards and governance, ensuring project plans and project documentation are complete and up-to-date.
- University degree qualified in Business Administration or related field;
- Demonstrate strong planning and organization skills;
- Knowledge across key event management operations;
- Designing service levels against predefined services, and planning transition to operations;
- Experience in project management preferable in event operation areas.

Opportunity Responsibilities
The Project Manager Operations will manage multiple cross functional projects from inception through completion and support the Volunteers team in completing projects that will have a high impact on achievement of strategic key performance indicators.Main responsibilities of this role include:
- Coordinate the Operational Delivery of the volunteers before and during Expo 2020;
- Create a project plan with an efficient breakdown of tasks and milestones to complete projects within timelines and budget;

Skills
5+ years’ experience with at least 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a Project Management Department as well as:- University degree qualified in Business Administration or related field;
- Demonstrate strong planning and organization skills;
- Knowledge across key event management operations;
- Designing service levels against predefined services, and planning transition to operations;
- Experience in project management preferable in event operation areas.
