JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Coordinator – Event Booking Centre supports Sales Executives, Sales Managers and Senior Sales Managers with administration duties. Prepares customer contracts in a highly accurate and efficient manner. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery in accordance with brand standards. Enters turned down and enquiry only leads, to ensure accurate capture of all enquiries. Manages the generic email enquiry log and distribution to the team, ensuring accurate tracking of all leads

• Cross sell into St. Regis Polo Resort

Business Context
 
 
Responsible for developing a working knowledge of all departments in the hotel and their dependence and interaction with the Sales Department. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Provide service to our customers in order to grow share of business on behalf of Marriott International, across the enterprise. Partner effectively with Event Services to maximize the customer experience of the property.
 
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
Sales and Revenue Management
• Ensures Diary Management Systems are updated with all activities as appropriate.
• Processes all business correspondence within acceptable time limits. Creates contracts and other related booking documentation as required, to a high standard.
• Manages all administrative duties relevant to the EBC function supporting the Director and Assistant
• Produces daily, weekly, monthly reports accurately using the Opera system and enquiry log statistics
• Manages the distribution of the generic EBC email account, organizing the coordination of leads according to the set parameters given, plus providing accurate tracking for response times and duplicate bookings
• Understands the overall market.
• Maintains a full understanding of the hotel facilities, capacities, feasibility, history, services, pricing, F&B offerings.
• Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Transfers accurate, complete and timely information to operating departments at the properties.
 
Guest Satisfaction
• Sets a positive example for guest relations.
• Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management and Hotel Operations Team.
• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
 

REQUIREMENTS

Candidate Profile
 
• Sales & Admin experience, ideally in the International market and ability to demonstrate strong client relationships in the corporate market driving corporate transient, catering and group business. There should be excellent communication (verbal & written) skills, and a second language would be an advantage. Experience in the group/banqueting sales market a desirable asset.

Education and Experience
• Sales & coordination experience with relevant comparable market
• Relevant, proven strength within an administrative environment
• Keyboard skills and computer input
• Marriott experience is preferred but not essential
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not essential
 
TRAINING
• Previous Marriott or Starwood Sales Training preferred but not essential
• Marriott Foundations of leadership preferred but not essential
