The Site Structural Engineer will manage and oversee all structural design works for a large real estate development.

Senior Structural Engineer
Job description • Oversee the scheduling of the Structural packages in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
• Monitor the structural works for conformance with the provisions of the Contract Documents
• Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project
• Procure supplies and materials to complete construction projects
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports
• Review contractors claims related to structural works. Prepare recommendations for claims approval or rejection. Assist in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules.
• Develop and implement quality control programs
• Take actions to deal with the results of delays at construction site.
• Liaise with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems
• Serve as the Site Representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of structural works
• Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
Requirements
The ideal candidate holds an Academic or Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or any relevant discipline.
The candidate has a minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience within large real estate developments including building and infrastructure works.
