Team Leader - Goods In - Food Point Applications are invited for the position of Team Leader - Grade FC04.
The position is within the Goods In section of Food Point, reporting to the Supervisor on duty.
This shift based role is responsible for the controlling and monitoring of the physical completion of a variety of tasks which is delegated by the incumbent as part of the departmental requirements, and which when combined, fulfil the day to day activities of the manufacturing or logistics functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Comply with Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities Standards.
- Set the work roster for the team members and conduct continuous performance evaluations based on speed and accuracy.
- Deal with behavioural or performance related issues by conducting investigations and following up with the relevant disciplinary or training requirements.
- Assist the management team build and maintain the quality culture, to ensure that all staff support the importance of the production of the highest quality meals over and above output levels
- Ensures compliance with standard operating procedures in relation to HACCP
- Responsible for measuring, analysing and communicating information on key performance indicators and production yield data
- Ensures accurate inventory management of 800 pallets of frozen, chilled and dry products by planning and controlling staff and equipment in temperatures as low as -18°C
- Responsible for recording all wastages during the shift and recommending ways of avoiding future occurrences
- Responsible for liaising with Engineering, Product Development, Technical and Operations Departments for relevant issues concerning their area of work
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
- Willingness to work on a flexible shift pattern
- Must be physically fit with no health problems that will restrict the job holder’s ability to work in a hot or cold environment
- Ability to lift product up to weights of 15kg to shoulder height with no limitation
- Effective English language verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
- Ability to work and perform under significant pressure within a cold working environment and within a small team
- Working knowledge in ERP system and Warehousing activities
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing
- Computer skills
- Certificated Fork Lift Driver
