Purpose
Customer-facing role. Responsible and central coordinator for all pharmacy related marketing activities, related materials and campaign planning. This includes: budget management, activity planning and monitoring, activities process management, alignment with brand teams and pharmacy accounts and implementation of activities on time with agreed norms and standards.

Co-ordination with the CTC team members including planning, creation, co-ordination of specific trade marketing activities
Ensuring there is in close alignment and collaboration with trade customers (customer surveys, focus groups, regular field visits, etc.)
Testing and evaluating of POS items and campaigns.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

short and long term pharmacy plans based on thorough understanding of market conditions and trends utilizing CTC Merck Marketing principles – positioning the company as partner of choice

  • Manage & track budgets efficiently with a complete track of spend, committed and available budgets
  • Maintain a complete database of all planned & implemented activities per brand per pharmacy to effectively track implementation and to keep all the stakeholders informed.
  • Assist in the development of trade spend guidelines (according to fair market value), performs top-line allocations and reviews and authorizes planned field trade spend.
  • Prioritize trade channel activities for maximum returns
negotiate mutually beneficial solutions with internal & external stakeholders and influence key decision-makers to improve in-store presence and pharmacy activities

activities at the trade channel levels for the gathering of insight and also to track our aligned activities with the accounts

  • Identify and monitor competitors and market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect sales
activities are in line with agreed sales plan and local legal / compliance guidelines

Qualifications

Solid business acumen in order to maximize trade opportunities in distribution and merchandising.
A solid understanding of today’s Pharma market dynamics. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in commercial operations is preferable.
Strong financially oriented individual (ease with manipulating and understanding numbers).

Education and Work Experience:
  • Knowledge of and experience (min 3 years) preferably in trade marketing, or Commercial experience
  • Consistent track record
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and good understanding of Customer Management Process.
  • Experience of data analysis - ability to analyze large volumes of complex information, interpret & use to shape planning
